What is Haitian Biz List?
Haitian Biz List is a free directory of Haitian-owned businesses across the United States, organized by state, city, and industry. Our goal is to help the Haitian diaspora discover, support, and connect with one another's businesses.
Is it really free to list my business?
Yes. Listing or claiming a Haitian-owned business is completely free. We also offer optional paid upgrades (Premium and Featured) that add photos, longer descriptions, and top placement — but the core listing is always free.
How do I claim a business that's already listed?
Find your business using the search, open its page, and tap “Claim this Business.” You'll create a free account (email + phone), verify both, and submit your claim. Once we approve it, you can manage the listing from your dashboard. You can also start from the claim page.
My business isn't listed yet. How do I add it?
Use List a New Business. After a quick account sign-up and verification, fill in your details and submit. We review new listings before they go live to keep the directory trustworthy.
Why do I need to verify my email and phone?
Verification protects business owners from impersonation and keeps the directory spam-free. We send a 6-digit code to your email and a separate code by text. A real mobile number that can receive SMS is required (most VoIP numbers won't work).
How long does approval take?
Claims and new listings are reviewed by our team. We work to review submissions promptly. You'll receive an email once your claim or listing is approved.
Can I add a business I don't own?
We're building a way to suggest businesses you know but don't own. For now, if you know a great Haitian-owned business, the best help is to list it or tell the owner to claim it.
What's the difference between Free, Premium, and Featured?
Free includes your name, logo, phone, address, short description, website, and social links. Premium adds up to 10 photos and a long description. Featured adds everything in Premium plus pinned, top-of-page placement on your state and city pages. You'll find upgrade options inside your dashboard.
How do I edit my listing?
Log in, go to your dashboard, and tap “Edit” on your business. You can update your details anytime.
How can I help the community?
Three easy ways: invite friends and family to visit the site, list a Haitian business you know so others can find it, and — if it's your business — consider upgrading, which helps keep the directory growing for everyone.
